This is an award-winning concept that was introduced to be fully tactile so that people with Dementia are able to touch it and interact with it whilst still understanding exactly what it is. Stimulating sensory responses especially touch - Using sensory lighting, bright clear images and music in order to promote reminiscence also.

Bringing back such happy/ recognisable memories has proven to work really well for de-escalation and helps calm down a person living with dementia by taking them back to a happy place.

The Jolly Trolley has been fitted with a full PA system and microphone in order to inspire and encourage participation for those that do not get involved with group activities. Being fully portable is great within person centred care institutions and taking it to the rooms of people that are unable to get out of bed.

This object helps to create a pathway of communication for those living with dementia. Giving those that appear to be closed off and hard to reach by encouraging them to get involved and have a great time!
